Our Mendel Pass is the "house pass" of Tramin and LakeCaldaro. From Vineus we move past Lake Caldaro to the Passo Mendola. The 15 hairpin bends in a recently upgraded road promise pure riding fun with great panoramic views over Lake Caldaro into the mountain scenery of the Dolomites. Over the pass, the route descends into the Val di Non and then towards Ultimo. The tunnel that connects the two valleys is a special experience. You drive uphill, over the crest and 2 km ahead of you, driving downhill, you see a hole, the tunnel exit, which you approach and drive out of. An interesting and unique driving experience.
