Sustainability at the Vineus

We are also trying to make our work and activities a little more sustainable.

The Vineus has decided to use regional products, so we buy our South Tyrolean products from local suppliers. Of course, we also use other products for which no substitute from South Tyrol is available...

Waste separation: we separate all our waste. Please help us and separate the waste for us. Everyone has the possibility to use the accessible containers for separating waste on the north side of the house. If you can't find the right container... just ask...
Avoidance of plastic: We avoid all plastic in our guesthouse. Plastic straws and plastic bottles for drinks have been completely eliminated.
Solar thermal: Our water heating runs almost entirely on solar thermal energy and supports the heating in the cold season.
Swimming pool heating by solar energy only: our swimming pool runs entirely on solar thermal energy. We chose not to use fossil fuels to heat the water.
Insulation: The whole house was insulated during the renovation and received the requirement for climate house A in the overall calculation.
Photovoltaics: Our photovoltaic system produces over 25 KW for our own use and the rest is fed into the network. In summer, we need almost all of the power for our own operations.
Green certificate for green electricity. Our energy provider Alperia is an electricity supplier that obtains its energy exclusively from green electricity and has also received the 100% green certificate for that. Our residual electricity is drawn from this provider.
