Caldaro Winery
The Caldaro Winery was founded in 1900 and today cultivates 440 hectares. Around 600 members and winegrowers belong to the cooperative. Cornaiano Winery
The Cornaiano Winery was founded in 1923 by 24 small farmers in a historic farmhouse dating back to the 16th century. Today, 200 winegrowing families cultivate around 220 hectares of vineyards in South Tyrol with great motivation and commitment. The Cornaiano winery has set itself the goal of emphasising historical grape varieties while remaining connected to the region.
Schreckbichl Winery
The Schreckbichl Winery is one of the youngest wineries in South Tyrol and is backed by 300 families rather than just one. The co-operative was founded in 1960 by 26 winegrowers from Schreckbichl. The winery stands for authentic enjoyment and uncompromising quality and cultivates 300 hectares of vineyards along the South Tyrolean Wine Road. 65% of the grape varieties cultivated by the winery are white wines.
Franz Haas
The foundations of today's winery were laid in 1880 and have been handed down to the first-born son, always Franz, for seven generations. Due to progressive climate change, the winery planted vineyards at higher altitudes in 2001. Today, the vineyards reach an altitude of 1150 metres and are currently among the highest sites in South Tyrol. According to Franz Haas, it takes science and calculation to produce good wines, but it is the determination and love of wine that gives them their character.
Terlano Winery
24 winegrowers joined forces in Terlano in 1893 and founded the Terlano winery. At the end of the 19th century, 80% of the wine produced in South Tyrol was red wine. However, Terlano was already known as a white wine region in 1893. The proportion of white wines produced by the Terlano winery today is 70%. With currently 143 members and 190 hectares of vineyards, the winery is one of the leading winegrowers' co-operatives in South Tyrol.
Bolzano Winery
In 1908, 30 farmers decided to found a winery in Grieß. In 1930, 18 farmers founded another winegrowers' cooperative, the St. Magdalener Winery. Today, the winegrowers' co-operative consists of 224 families. To join forces, the Grieser and St. Magdalener wineries agreed to merge in 2001. The co-operative cultivates 340 hectares between 200 and 1000 metres above sea level, with 52% of the cultivated area being red wine grape varieties and the remaining 48% white wine grape varieties.
