At over 1,000 metres between meadows and forests above the municipalities of Margreid and Kurtatsch lies Lake Fennberg. The biotope has been a nature reserve since 1977 due to its enormous botanical value. The 10-hectare biotope around the lake provides a protected habitat for endangered animal and plant species. This high landscape is also home to the highest vineyards in Europe.
